Homework: HW 10-13
Today, students began class by looking at our text, “The Structure of a Corn Plant” and determined cause and effect relationships within the text.
The second lesson taught what the word ‘objective‘ meant (to be unbiased and not influenced by emotion). We had a discussion about why “The Structure of a Corn Plant” is an objective text. Students then found examples of adjectives and verbs in the text to support that the text was objective.
Our final lesson asked students to determine where they were finding details about the parts of the corn plant in the text by citing the paragraph where they found the information.
Have a wonderful weekend!
