Hello!

MN State Standards Addressed: Reading 5.2.2.2

Reading 5.2.1.1

Learning Targets: The students will be able to identify characters in a piece of writing.

The students will be able to identify the main idea in a piece of writing.

The students will have a deeper understanding of the expectations related to their service learning presentation.

 

Today, students were given an additional copy of the service learning presentation guidelines and the grading checklist.

We also looked at an example project to make sure that students understood what was needed as they begin to work on their presentations. Students are not presenting until the end of February to ensure that they have plenty of time to work on their service.

Students continued their work on Locomotion today. Students began reading pages 26-50 in class. Both classes will be given additional time to complete this assignment on Monday. Both classes read poems out of the book together and identified the characters as well as the main idea in each poem.
