Hello!

MN Standards addressed: 5.1.6.6

5.2.6.6

Learning Target: I can describe how a narrator’s or speaker’s point of view influences how events are described.

I can describe multiple accounts of the same event noting important similarities and differences in the point of view they represent.

Students began class by finishing the Ruby Bridges movie. Students then listened to the biography The Story of Ruby Bridges. Students were identifying the difference in point of view from the memoir Through My Eyes and the biography The Story of Ruby Bridges. Students were also looking for similarities and differences between both stories, and the movie.

Students completed their notebook assignment identifying the main idea of each story and finding facts that supported the main idea in the stories.

Students returned to their chapter five work in the social studies textbook today. They completed pg. 31 in their workbook. Page 30 can be completed for extra credit.

At the end of both classes today, students played a trivia bingo game that used interesting facts about each student in the classroom. It was fun to learn so many interesting facts about all of the students!!

Have a wonderful evening.
